On July 16, 1969 at 9:32 a.m. Apollo 11 blasted off from Cape Kennedy, Florida. `Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin were thrusted into Space towards the moon.
The last words they heard from Launch Control were: "Good luck and Godspeed." Armstrong calmly replied, "Thank you very much. We know this will be a good flight."
Four days later, Armstrong landed the Eagle on the surface of the Moon at 4:18 p.m. with less than 30 seconds of fuel remaining! His words to mission control: "The Eagle has landed."
